O souboru

The Czech Chamber Philharmonic was formed shortly after the 1989 “Velvet Revolution” which led to the birth of the Czech Republic.  It was founded by the music agency B-Arts Production with Zdenek Adam, who is its artistic leader, soloist and first oboist.

Greatly in demand around Europe’s most prestigious concert halls, the Czech Chamber Philharmonic performs regularly in Austria, Switzerland and the Benelux Countries.  In Germany it delights its many fans with several concerts every year with the Berlin Philharmonic and the Munich Philharmonic, as well as visiting Bremen, Hanover and other major cities.  The orchestra has also appeared at London’s famous Barbican Centre.

In guest performances at international music events – among them, the Toulon Festival and the Festival Musique en Basque in France, the Dmitria Festival in Greece, and Germany’s Mitte Europa and Bruhler Schlosskonzerte - the orchestra has accompanied many top-flight soloists.  To name just a few, trumpeters Rheinhold Friedrich (at Weilburger Schlosskonzerte) and Serget Nakarjakov (the Janacek May Festival), American saxophonist John E. Kelly (the Rheingau Musik Festival) and British singing star Sarah Brightman (Monaco) have all chosen to perform with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic.

At home in the Czech Republic the orchestra has recorded “The Christmas Concert from the Senate” for Czech Television, made many broadcasts on Radio Classic, and accompanied soprano Dagmar Peckova for the important “Mozart Gala” held in the Prague Conference Centre.  Since the mid-2000s, the orchestra has presented an ongoing series of chamber concerts entitled “Thursdays with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic” in the city’s Crown Plaza Hotel – its concerts in the capital city are supported by the Prague municipal authority
