Vojtěch Spurný prepared the orchestra very well so as to achieve a superior presentation of this unpretentious but melodically very charming and occasionally even harmonically interesting music. Besides of the musical qualities I appreciate that we get the opportunity to listen to a body that has been purposefully led to devote its efforts to the propagation of composers who created the good name of Czech musical bent in the last decades of the 18^th Century. This CD series of the Czech Chamber Philharmonic with its conductor undertake exactly something that corresponds to the current world trend, namely to draw quality works of less known composers out of the dust of the archives and to inspire a new life into them.
